Hello! This is our first newsletter as Hive and we are excited to finally show you everything we’ve been working on:
Renamed the newsletter: We are now calling this bimonthly newsletter Hive Highlights. Since we are often highlighting important updates and impactful opportunities, the name feels like an appropriate fit.
Reorganized content sections: Several content categories were combined and reorganized into 4 main sections. We hope this feels less overwhelming and makes it easier to find relevant content!
Seeking feedback! Please let us know what you think about the rebrand and/or newsletter reorganization! Fill out this quick form or DM us on the Hive Slack.
We’ll be at AVA Summit DC this weekend! If you’re going also, feel free to stop by our booth in the vendor area for a free “Hi” sticker (and some other surprises 😼).
In case you missed it, our co-founder Sofia Balderson was interviewed on How I Learned to Love Shrimp podcast. Listen to the episode on how rejection can help you grow as an advocate and much more.
Warmly,
Allison, Sofia, and the Hive team
May #1: Now called Hive Highlights
📌We’ll start by highlighting links we think may be particularly helpful for some advocates:
The Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) with
, Farm Animal Welfare Program Director at Open Philanthropy, was an enjoyable read! His responses are clear, direct, and informative. For insights into grantmaking and specific interventions, read Lewis’ AMA.Social Change Lab conducted an impact analysis on the 2021 Insulate Britain campaign’s efficacy. We found it helpful to see how the campaign increased salience of the issue, contributing to policy change.
Skim through our opportunities section! There’s a variety available for individual advocates, organizations, and leaders.
