❤️️️Community profile:

Healthier Hens aims to reduce egg-laying hen suffering in cage-free systems. They have investigated promising interventions, such as improving feed, and right now are collecting data, building on-farm hen welfare assessment capacity, and exploring feasible ways forward in Kenya. Sub-Saharan Africa will experience immense growth in terms of number of animals farmed but is highly neglected in terms of funding and efforts on the ground. Read their literature reviews on feed fortification and learn how to support their work.
