Hi there!
It’s been three weeks (instead of the usual two) since our last Hive Highlights. We have many great opportunities and updates to share with you, enjoy!
Warmly,
Allison (and the Hive team🧡)
📌We’ll start by highlighting links we think may be particularly helpful for some advocates:
Firstly, a unique funding and donating opportunity from Manifund 💸
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a funder but have no spare cash? Manifund is hosting a $200k funding round for EA community projects, where the grant decision is made by you.
Sign up here to get notified when the community funds become available. Everyone receives $100 to donate + more for being involved in the EA community (first come, first served until $100k is disbursed). Donate and comment on projects from 20 August till 1 September.
List your project if it’s a good fit from 13–20 August. You can list multiple projects and they don’t have to identify as EA. This newsletter is one that you can donate your community funds to, so if you find these bimonthly editions helpful, we will appreciate your support!
Future Perfect’s recent How Factory Farming Ends series goes through many relevant animal advocacy topics. Use this as an opportunity to catch up on different issues — or share the articles with friends, family, and colleagues.
We also found Faunalytics' latest Tactics In Practice: The Science Of Plant-Based Defaults And Nudges as a helpful introduction to plant-based defaults, menu design, and nudges — as well as summary of existing research.
